First day trip from Mytilene to Sigri
The Meeting’s bus will leave Mytilene on the 19th of May on 13:30 (1:30 p.m.) from Sappho Square, Mytilene. All the participants that have reserved a seat on the bus must be there on time.
A map of Mytilene will be available soon enough in the 2nd circular of the Meeting.
Participants whose flights arrive on the 18th can find accommodation in the hotels of Mytilene rather cheap (prices for these dates range from 30- 70€).
Reminder for the Transportation Discount for the Athens-Mytilene route
The participants that wish to use the Blue Star Ferries discount need to book their tickets as soon as possible via the travel agencies listed below and send the Organizing Committee an email with the details of their trip (names, dates etc) within this month.

The participants that wish to travel from Athens to Mytilene and backwards with a ship during the days of the Meeting, will have a 30% discount on the price of their tickets if they use Blue Star Ferries. The discount applies for simple tickets and vehicle tickets as well.
The participants that wish to receive the discount need to book their tickets independently, but in specific representatives of the company (from which they will receive their tickets before departure) in the ports of Piraeus and Mytilene, stating that the purpose of their trip is their participation in the 2nd IMERP. Only after booking their tickets, these participants need to communicate with the Organizing Committee via e-mail (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and state all the details of their trip (name the tickets are under, number and type of tickets, date and time of departure, name of the ship, name of the booking agency).
Important: (a) Other travel agencies are not authorized to provide you with such a discount. (b) Do not forget to email the Organizing Committee in order to enable us form a list of the delegates for the company, in order to make your trip easier.

Public transportation between Sigri-Mytilene
Unfortunately, the public bus (KTEL) schedule is very poor between Sigri and Mytilene and it only performs routes twice a week: on Mondays and Thursdays.
The delegates that will not attend the Meeting’s field trip and wish to leave Sigri on Monday the 22nd of May, will need to take the 06:15 morning bus to Mytilene (that arrives in the city of Mytilene after approximately 2- 2,5 hours).

The delegates that will attend the Meeting’s field trip do not have to worry about reaching Mytilene by themselves, since the city of Mytilene is the final stop of the field trip. We estimate that the field trip buses will have reached Mytilene by 18:00 in the afternoon.
3rd IMERP Organization
Regarding the location of the 3rd International Meeting of Early- stage Researchers in Palaeontology, participants that wish to host the next IMERP in their country next year are encouraged to contact the Organizing Committee before this year's Meeting. The process that is going to be followed for the finalization of the next IMERP's host will include a short slideshow (5 min) regarding the dates, place and ANY kind of ideas they might have, that will be shown to the participants during this year's IMERP. The decision will be made on the last day of the Meeting.
